Welcome to our blissful retreat!

If it’s peace and quiet with a fantastic view of the Queen Charlotte Sound you’re after, then visit us here at A Sea View Bed & Breakfast.

Nestled amongst beautiful native flora and fauna just a scenic 9kms drive North East of Picton, you will find us at 424 Port Underwood Road.

Enjoy our peaceful haven with its panoramic views of Whatamango Bay and Queen Charlotte Sound. Listen to the birdsong of the Tui, Morepork and many more… look out for our resident Weka family, Fantails and Bellbirds.

Are you in need of a break away from the stresses of every day life? Does the total peace and tranquility of the Marlborough Sounds beckon? Need an overnight stay, a weekend away, or keen to have a week away from it all? A Sea View Bed & Breakfast could be just what you need!

We have two private semi-self-contained units – the Sea View suite and the cosy Bay View room.

Your hosts will be available to welcome you.

Included in our nightly rate is a complimentary continental breakfast tray. If you have any special dietary requirements or any other special requests, please advise us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. Contact us to discuss your needs.

There are so many choices of how to spend your days. You could simply kick back and do nothing, soak up the relaxing atmosphere in blissful peace to recharge your batteries. Maybe a gentle stroll through the meandering pathways of our front garden down to the hidden gazebo which also has a stunning view of the bay.

If you feel more active you could take out our bicycles or kayak, go fishing or walk the Queen Charlotte Track.  The choice is yours.

During your stay, we recommend that you take advantage of some of the other activities for which Marlborough is world renowned: wine tasting, kayaking, boating, fishing, diving and trekking.

Check out one of the half day tours that include wine tasting or viewing the amazing wildlife. Or try a day trip to see the whales at Kaikoura, the lakes and native forest at Nelson Lakes or marvel at the colour of the beaches and water at Abel Tasman Park just out of Nelson.

When you’re hungry, we can provide an antipasto platter for your enjoyment.  Bottles of local wine, and a range of beer, are available for purchase. Or you can self-cater using your kitchenette or a barbecue. Another option is to pop into Waikawa Bay or Picton and enjoy a snack, light meal, or something more special at one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs.

(The ingredients and price of the platter may vary seasonally.)

Thank you for considering us for your stay in Picton. Your comfort and privacy are important to us, so feel free to contact us with any queries or special requirements you might have.
